Michael Bosanko is a light painting artist which means he travels across different cities and produces his work at different attractions. His work is very different each time he visits a city. With his light painting he uses a range of different objects around it e.g. cars, bottles. He doesn't just draw people he also draws swirls, spirals and even writes words with the light. Michael first started light painting in 2004 in Greece where he took an image of a moonlight landscape and it went unexpectedly wrong. None of pieces of work has reached the photo editing unless hes re-sizing or using watermarks on his work.
He uses two different types of work e.g. the canon gear or even film, also he uses a range of exposures from seconds to hours depending on the environment. Michael uses a majority of tools which include mostly everyday objects e.g. household torches, standard bulbs, LEDS or even fire it just depends on what he can his hands on for the environment hes working in. |
His work work ranges for different advertising companies e.g. TV commercials, film, company profiles, billboards, animation, global campaigns, tabloid, magazines, private commissions, viral animations, album covers and work shops. He mostly uses the busy streets, the deep country, caves, waterfalls, abandoned buildings and many more locations to do his light photography. I like Michael Bosanko's work because it is bright and colour to the eye, it really stands out from other light photographers. He captures the backdrop of the each city perfectly and makes his images really detailed and contrasted. I like the fact that he does not repeat his it different each time especially with the range of colours he uses, none of them are plain or dull they are bright and colourful and very distinctive.
