Henri Cartier-Bresson
Henri Cartier was a french photographer who was a master of candid photographer. He was involved in photo journalism and film, he created spontaneous pieces of work. He wandered around the world of art and journalism. in the early 20th century he started to love literature and arts as he was educated in Paris. When it became 1927 he started a two year studying course on drawing, which contained two types of artists cubism and Andre Lhote, then he moved to Cambridge university shortly after to move himself further into art and literature. He was known as a filmmaker and photographer until 2004 and while he was a photographer he went to Africa in 1931 he was originally there to hunt antelope and deer, but he soon got tired of it and turned to taking photographs there instead.
He would rater take shots that print his work for everyone to see. The decisive moment was known as the decisive moment book and is mostly filled with his photographic work. It also includes around 126 photos taken from the east and the west. His book contains over 4,500 word and he uses his keynote text from the mid 17th century from Cardinal de Retz. From his book he used a quote which said 'There is nothing in the world that does not have a decisive moment' He applied towards photographic style and technique. His work is relevant to the work of composition because in most of his work there are different shapes outline, which the audience of the photo can easily notice. He makes the shapes in his work look different from one another because every image uses a different shutter speed some slow some fast. In my own opinion i do not take interest in Henri Cartier Bresson because it doesn't stand out for me, but i do like one main photo from his work.

This photo is apart of his work and i like this photo in particular because of the little child reflection in the puddle and the way the puddle shows everything surrounding the small child, but the image doesn't show you it the puddle is showing you everything. Also the fact that the little boy makes a dark, horrifying ally turn into a light and happy place just by one child. The composition in this picture shows the child as a circle and the puddle as a circle too, but the boy is moving forward, which indicates a fast shutter speed.
